GREAT BEND, Kansas — Central Kansas Christian Academy invites the community to its annual Soup Supper and Silent Auction on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the school, 215 McKinley St., Great Bend.

Hosted by CKCA’s Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF), the event brings the community together for a meal while supporting students and teachers. Tickets are $10 each and include a choice of chili or potato soup, along with cinnamon rolls and chili fixings. Dine-in, drive-thru and carryout options are available. Tickets can be purchased now from any CKCA student.

All proceeds benefit CKCA’s PTF, which helps provide funds for teachers, field trips, fun school events and other needs throughout the year.

This year, CKCA Student Council is also inviting supporters to purchase Soup Supper tickets for Barton County first responders as a way to thank them for their service to the community. To participate, purchase a ticket from a CKCA student and turn it into the CKCA office.

“They are heroes to our community,” Student Council members Hazel Schroeter and Kaydin Williamson wrote in their invitation. The students included a reminder from 1 Thessalonians 5:11: “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.”

Following the success of last year’s first silent auction, CKCA is excited to bring it back with new online bidding access. Supporters will be able to view auction items and place bids online. Auction dates, bidding instructions and access details will be announced in future updates.

Donations received so far include an Ultimate Prize Pack from Urban Air and a contribution from Flint Hills Discovery Center. More auction highlights will be shared as additional donations are confirmed.

CKCA is grateful to the many businesses, families and organizations that made last year’s silent auction a success. Contributions included jewelry from Kendra Scott, a Ring doorbell gift basket from Hammeke Electric, Kansas City Chiefs tickets from Monte and Lori Feck, and whole-pie certificates from Carriage Crossing, among many other generous donations.

Donations for this year’s silent auction are still welcome. Anyone interested in contributing an item, gift certificate or experience—or seeking more information about the event—can contact ptf@ckcacademy.com.

Whether you join us for supper, pick up a meal to go, bid in the auction or purchase a ticket for a local first responder, your participation helps support CKCA students and teachers. Buy your tickets from a CKCA student today!
