CKCA’s Silas Jeska Recognized in Make a Difference Contest
GREAT BEND — Silas Jeska, a first grader at Central Kansas Christian Academy, was recognized Oct. 27 as October’s third weekly winner in Eagle Media’s Make a Difference Contest.
Jeska, a student in Karalyn Singleton’s class, received the award during CKCA’s morning assembly. When asked how he could make a difference, he answered, “Telling everyone about Jesus.”
Organized by Eagle Media in Great Bend, the contest challenges Barton County elementary students to consider how they can make a difference in their communities or homes, according to Eagle’s Director of Promotions Becca Tudor. Winning students also receive a visit from Eagle Media staff and are featured on a radio news broadcast.
The Make a Difference Contest is presented by OPI Great Bend and Golden Belt Printing, with support from additional area sponsors.
