CKCA athletics
Central Kansas Christian Academy is proud to offer our students numerous opportunities to get involved with athletic programs. In addition to physical education during the school day, we also offer extra-curricular sports teams for those who wish to participate.
Boys and girls basketball teams are organized for students in 3rd through 6th grades. Cheerleading is available for girls 4th through 8th grades. Other activities such as volleyball, track and field, football, and others are available for students in 7th and 8th grades through Hoisington Middle School. 3-6th Grade basketball
Boys and girls basketball teams are organized for students in 3rd through 6th grades. Registration for these sports activities takes place each fall after school starts, and practices begin in September. Each student is responsible for paying a sign-up fee and for taking care of the uniform they will check out. Players also receive a t-shirt as part of their registration fee. Practices are held 1-3 days per week, and games are organized against other schools in the area. The program changes a bit from year to year, but the primary goal is to give students an opportunity to build fundamental skills, make memories, experience game time, and learn from the team sport. Our current coaches are Ethan and Ashlie Thomas, assisted by Scott Beahm and student team managers.
4-8th Grade Cheer
Students in 4th through 8th grades are invited to participate in our cheerleading team. Cheerleaders are responsible for team spirit during basketball games, as well as performing special half-time shows. Cheerleading is occasionally opened up to younger grades for special clinics and camps. Sign-up for the cheerleading team happens in the spring for the following school year. Each student is responsible for paying a sign-up fee and for taking care of the uniform they will check out. Cheerleaders also receive a t-shirt as part of their registration fee. 7-8th Grade Partnership
CKCA has a sports agreement with Hoisington Middle School for 7th and 8th grade students, allowing them the opportunity to stay in a positive, Christian environment for academics while still having the option to participate in a variety of sports! For the upcoming school year, CKCA intends to offer transportation services from CKCA to Hoisington Middle School for daily practices. With eligible grades, our 7th and 8th grade students can participate in football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, track, baseball, or softball.
We believe that sports are an important part of our children's lives and can be a way to glorify God through our athletic gifts. Sports help develop many skills that carry over into adulthood. Athletic resources
At CKCA Athletics, we offer a wide variety of sports programs for our students. Our athletic game schedule can be found on our website for the upcoming season. We offer both basketball and cheer programs and have all necessary KSHSAA physical forms available for download. We also have a snack sign-up sheet for our athletes and their families. We encourage everyone to become a Booster Club member and volunteer at our events. Additionally, we are excited to be a part of the newly forming Central Kansas Christian Basketball League. At Central Kansas Christian Academy (CKCA), we are proud to offer an Athletics program that provides a quality experience for our 3rd-6th grade boys and girls. Our Central Kansas Christian Basketball League (CKCBL) is focused on building the fundamentals of basketball, white also providing our students with equal playing time. We also strive to serve Jesus Christ in everything we do, and hope to be a relection of His grace and mercy on the court. Our goal is to build our future athletes and develop their skills, while also improving our surrounding communities. We are excited that Holy Family, Chase, and Stafford have joined our forming league.
CKCBL Sponsorship
The Central Kansas Christian Basketball League (CKCA) is offering business sponsorship opportunities to those who wish to be part of this new forming league. We are working with several community teams to form a new Youth Elementary Basketball League, so that we can collectively build up our future athletes. The Lord has put on our hearts to help build the skills of today's youth, and foster teamwork and discipline while modeling the love, grace, and mercy of Jesus Christ.
We are offering three different sponsorship package levels: Gold, Silver and Bronze. Each package offers its own unique set of benefits. WHAT IS BOOSTER CLUB
CKCA has a fun and important volunteer group called Booster Club that is responsible for raising school spirit in conjunction with sporting events and other school activities. This is a great way for CKCA families to build relationships with one another while making a difference for the school. These roles can vary between working the concession stand, hanging posters around the school, decorating the gym before games, surprising students with locker decorations, or other school spirit building activities. If you have a little time to help - or a lot - we'd welcome your time and talents to help us enhance student life at CKCA!

Booster Club is searching for a Vice President to assist current chair, Ashlie Thomas, in leading Booster Club activities. We also need additional volunteer members. We have a LOT of fun, and it's a minimal partial-year commitment. But even though it's only part of the school year, it makes a big impact on our students' experience during their time at CKCA.
