Central Kansas Christian Academy’s annual Soup Supper, held on October 16th, 2025, was a tremendous success, surpassing previous years’ fundraising efforts and bringing together the community in support of the school.
This year, students sold tickets for the event at $10 each, offering attendees a choice between hearty potato soup or chili, both served with a variety of fixings and a dessert. The event proved to be a popular and profitable gathering, generating a total income of $12,442.69 — a significant increase from last year’s total of $8,946.64.
The evening featured not only delicious food but also a silent auction with contributions from many local businesses and community members. The generosity and support from the community played a vital role in the event’s success, and organizers expressed their heartfelt thanks to all who donated and participated.
First-year Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) President Tiffany Schoedaler led efforts to enhance the event, implementing new initiatives and organizational improvements that contributed to its overall success.
Looking ahead, discussions are already underway for next year’s event. Suggestions include improving communication and reminders for volunteer commitments, offering separate ticket options for potato soup and chili, and further enhancing the organization of the event.
The PTF team is also excited about the future and invites CKCA parents, grandparents, and guardians to join their meetings, which are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m.
In addition to the fundraising and community engagement, the event recognized top ticket sellers: Stephanie Mayer Juarado (1st grade), Brooklyn Schoendaler (1st grade), Chloee Chestnut (1st grade), Graham Schoendaler (2nd grade), Jacob Chestnut (3rd grade), and Jayden Chestnut (7th grade). These students were treated to a special lunch catered by Los Cabos as a token of appreciation for their outstanding efforts.
Overall, the 2025 Soup Supper was a memorable event that strengthened community bonds and raised vital funds for CKCA’s Parent Teacher Fellowship committee. The school and PTF team extend their sincere thanks to everyone who made the event a success and look forward to another fantastic year ahead.
